Even if the laundry table has a few streaky patches, it’s your table, and so you feel more attached to it than you would to a showroom-perfect table with a price tag to match.

2. Rearrange your furniture;

You can often change the way your room looks with activities as simple as dramatically rearranging the furniture. For instance, if the back of your couch is the first thing that comes into view whenever you walk into the living room, then rearranging that big piece of furniture will help clear out a part thus creating better traffic within your living room space while making it look more inviting all at zero cost.

3. Repurpose furniture and accessories;

Repurposing furniture most often includes changing the way it looks. For instance, you can apply an entirely new coat of paint or refinish a wooden table before converting it to a desk – or you can tear down a whole piece of furniture and use the different parts to make new and different objects.
