The reason is that these companies that consistently pay dividends yearly are stable and resolute with less volatility to increase their dividend payout yearly.

In income investment strategy, cash income generation from stocks is the main point of focus. It doesn’t dwell on investing in stocks that will only increase the value of investor’s portfolio.
