Abia State Governor-Elect – Alex Otti The Peter Obi Of Abia State

Alex Otti, the incoming governor of Abia State, has declared that he will reduce government costs by following the example set by Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate, who served as governor of Anambra from 2006 to 2014.

This was said by Otti during an interview on Politics Today on Channels Television on Thursday. He claimed: “My presidential candidate did very well in Anambra State because he reined in the cost of governance.”

And we’re going to use the same model in Abia. The number of positions you can add to the public sector is limited.

Otti, who was declared the winner on Wednesday, stated that it is problematic to appoint 12,000 personal assistants and special assistants who “basically don’t have an office.”

In the meantime, the incoming governor has pleaded with those who have accumulated public funds to return them, saying that it was not worth the time and resources to go after looters.

He declared, “I am aware of the enormous amount of work that is required in Abia, and I wouldn’t want distractions.” I’ve been there long enough to know that as soon as a probe is launched, distraction sets in.

He claimed that once an investigation is complete and a report has been produced that would have resulted in the indictment of numerous individuals, “the process now begins.”

He explained that this procedure would then proceed to the High Court, the Court of Appeal, and finally the Supreme Court. If you took any money and you still have it, give it back, he commanded.

However, I’m actually not going to waste time pursuing real or fictitious criminals or real or fictitious looters because I will not tolerate corruption. I won’t permit the distribution of our funds. I’d like to see our money put to use helping our people.
