Yenching Academy is a distinguished graduate program at Beijing, China’s Peking University that aims to promote international understanding via multidisciplinary research on China.

English Proficiency Requirements For The Yenching Academy Of Peking University China Scholarships 2026
International Applicants: An English proficiency test report is not required of those whose first language is English or who have completed an undergraduate or higher degree program taught in English.
Regardless of their educational history, applicants from Taiwan, Macao, and Hong Kong are required to submit a report on their English competence.
- Chinese Mainland Applicants: An English proficiency test report is mandatory.

Note:
- English proficiency tests must be taken after September 1, 2023.
- The IELTS Indicator test, IELTS Online, TOEFL MyBest Scores, TOEFL iBT Home Edition, and IELTS One Skill Retake are not accepted.
- The testing agency is required to send Yenching Academy the results of English tests. C488 is the TOEFL institution code.
