We are currently accepting applications for the vacancies listed below:
1.) Innovation And Commercialization Manager
- Identify emerging market trends, consumer needs, and technological advancements to explore opportunities for innovation.
- Conduct market research and analyze competitors to identify gaps and potential areas for innovation.
- Pay close attention to the commercialization of new product developments (NPDs) in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMN) and household goods (HW) industries, as well as strategic portfolio management.
- Collaborate and maintain close relationships with key stakeholders such as Marketing, R&D, Production, Finance, Demand and Supply Planning, Sales, Quality, and Regulatory teams to implement defined strategies and initiatives that drive volumes, distribution, and market share.
- Organize and launch performance reviews in the third, sixth, and twelfth months to evaluate performance against agreed-upon Key Business Indicators (KBIs) such as volume, gross profit, numeric distribution, market share, sampling, activation, etc.
- Monitor and track monthly SKU rationalization exercises to assess the performance of product variants using a predefined complexity reduction index based on volume contribution, revenue, and gross profit.
- Engage and maintain positive relationships with key corporate customers to foster brand loyalty and sustain their support for newly introduced products.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders in designing and executing marketing strategies that promote product innovation and adoption within the trade sector.
- Lead and coordinate scheduled commercialization or Stage-Gate meetings involving all relevant teams and gatekeepers for specific projects.
- Work closely with the Marketing and Research & Development teams to identify new product development opportunities or refinement.
- A degree in Marketing or any other Social Science-related field, such as a Higher National Diploma (HND), is required.
- A minimum of ten years of relevant experience in a Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry is necessary.
The Person Must:
- Demonstrate a track record of success in innovation management, product development, or commercialization roles.
- Possess extensive business knowledge and a deep understanding of market dynamics and customer requirements.
- Exhibit effective communication and presentation abilities, capable of engaging and influencing stakeholders at all levels.
- Display excellent project management skills, including prioritization, timeline management, and meeting deadlines.
- Showcase strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, utilizing data-driven approaches for decision-making.
- Foster a collaborative mindset and excel in working efficiently within cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrate exceptional leadership skills and proficiency in managing teams effectively.
- Exhibit flexibility and adaptability to thrive in a rapidly changing and dynamic environment.
2.) Exports Manager
- The goal is to establish and sustain an Export function that is both productive and efficient, resulting in cost-effectiveness and timely utilization of export market prospects in all targeted regions, with a quick turnaround time.
- Explore new export opportunities for FMN across existing and new businesses, aiming to expand FMN’s product reach to all African countries and other viable markets through exports.
- Enhance the research capabilities of the department and establish a system for capturing market knowledge, trends, market intelligence, and changes in customer preferences.
- Prepare and oversee the department’s annual budget.
- Take part in selected international trade fairs, exhibitions, missions, and contact programs supported by the Government of Nigeria (GoN) to promote FMN products and identify reliable importers for export contracts.
- Efficiently schedule shipping activities and determine suitable transportation methods to assist customers.
- Candidates are required to hold a Bachelor’s degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in relevant fields.
- Possessing an MBA or MSc degree is considered an additional advantage.
- A minimum of 6 years of professional experience is required.
- Experience in Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry focusing on exports, sales, marketing, commercial, and logistics is preferred.
