Jamb UTME Mass failure -Major Causes of The UTME Mass Failure

In line with its pattern of conduct, the joint admission matriculation board has released the results of the 2023 UTME candidates that participated in the aptitude test.

The score, which many claimed to have not been the owner of, has encouraged great displeasure and unhappiness amongst the many who endeavoured to check their results. The range of scores below 200 might be climbing to a total of 50 per cent as a massive number of 500,000 out of the 1.3 million that took the test can’t brag of scoring above 200.

What in particular must have caused such poor performance this year?

Sure, let’s blame the circumstances;

Several tertiary institutes have failed to round up their admission process slated for the 2022/23 session. As a cause of such delay, many candidates began to guess second their ability to secure admission weighing their chances on a scale of uncertainty. That alone impelled them to fill up a jamb form and submit it across the counter to evade the horrid reality of a 1-year wait.

With each leg in different shoes keeping track of one while waiting in anticipation for the other has been proven to be quite impossible by these young people, as both decisions conflicted with each other. Such candidates didn’t have ample time to prepare for the aptitude test because of late registration, and as of so, they were plagued with low marks.

At the mention of Hubris, the mind of everyone jolts to those candidates that went into the exam hall with no erudition gotten from intensive reading; they waltz in hanging on the idea that success would be induced by spontaneous rapid guesswork and residual knowledge, forgetting fully well the famous words of the English political Theorist, Algernor Sidney,

“Heaven help those who help themselves”.

It’s already established, some dogma by those who cared, that human volition contributes only a tiny percentage to the success of the eccentric aptitude test. The rest is a roll of dice, flip of a coin, Vis major.

This premium grace becomes available to those who sort the presence of a burning night candle and a stipulated time with the one endeavoured creates chances, the most candidate that blighted their score sheet with low figures, without the inclusions of falsehood and fakery, can’t brag about carrying both measures out.

Aside from that, the unprecedented situation apprehended by candidates during registration, for some, was the beginning of their downfall. The introduction of the compulsory usage of NIN made registration a living nightmare, as some had sleepless nights just trying to generate their profile codes.

Even with a healthy mindset towards the exam date, many still couldn’t meet such requirements because they were busy hopping from one place to another, trying their best to register. This process alone made studying a tad too difficult.

Without forgetting the number 1 vice, bad guy, and all-around “negative influence on the youths”, the cell phone. It played its part in contributing to the downfall of many candidates this year, and its homage to this downfall can’t be overstressed.

The puissant bond teenagers share with their cellular devices is a niche the whole concept of science and psychology can’t penetrate. It is uncommon to see a tortoise with hair, but that’s not new to the reality of seeing teenagers barricade themselves in the domain of cyberspace. They eject all other responsibilities, even the instinctive ones.

Yours faithfully had an encounter with an event of similitude with modern experience, the tutelage, and knowledge dispensed at casual learning institute in preparation for examinations were received with a lackadaisical response. With an infinite number of unzealous personage paying abeyance to the sound of the words of their tutor.

The need to debacle ignorance has never been so dire. The influence of rich uneducated children on their CounterPath is of a grand stage. With their versatile life, influencing others becomes easy, alluring them to a life of ignorance, forcing them to abort those building blocks and focus on hustling, saying success in life doesn’t necessarily come from education.

Without the need for emphasis, it has led to a depreciating attention span towards what I suppose is needful.

With the absence of fortune, some vested all hopes in malpractice, forgetting that the security deployed to abate such wasn’t programmed to be faulty or leave any loopholes.
