The 2024 MUTA scholarship program has announced a scholarship scheme for undergraduate students in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics), Medicine, or Allied medical programs.

This program aims to offer scholarships to Nigerian undergraduate students, offering N50,000 per recipient, which will be sent to the recipient’s bank account and must be used for tuition, fees, research, and other academic-related expenses.

MUTA Education Inc., Nigeria, is this scholarship’s sponsor.

The award is strictly based on merit and is meant for full-time undergraduates; the eligibility criteria for those who wish to apply for the 2024 MUTA Scholarship program are below.

Criteria for eligibility for the 2024 MUTA Scholarship Program for Undergraduate students

To be eligible for the scholarship awards, there are conditions that all applicants must fulfil, and they are listed below:

• Applicants must be an Undergraduate enrolled in STEM, Medicine and allied medicine
• All applicants must have a minimum CGPA of 3.5 on a scale of 5.0 or its equivalent
• The applicant must be a Nigerian student attending a Nigerian tertiary institution.
• Those who wish to apply must not and shall not be a cult group member or participate in any cult-related activities.
• Applicants must present a certificate of state or Local Government of Origin.
• All applicants must submit a 2-page, double-spaced personal statement explaining why they deserve the award and including appropriate justification such as Academic history, accomplishments, community service, career goals and financial needs.
• A signed letter from the institution’s academic officer or the appropriate head of department certifying the candidate’s CGPA. You can download the form in the section below it.

Note: Applicants who provided and uploaded falsified details will not be considered, and their applications will be cancelled.

How to Apply For the 2024 MUTA Education Scholarship Program For Undergraduates

All applications must be made and submitted to the portal; click here to open. You can also search for muta.org/apply-1 on your web browser. Read the instructions carefully and then scroll down to locate the form.

Fill out your personal information and details about your academics. Afterwards, upload all the required files, such as your Personal statement, student information verification, letter of recommendation, and any other needed files.

After submitting the required details, click the Continue icon, complete any other task, and then submit the form.

All application forms must be submitted on or before April 15, 2024, at 5 PM [US EST (GMT-5)], and failure to do so will prevent the committee from reviewing them, thereby not qualifying for the MUTA Scholarship Program.

All the award winners will be notified via email, announced on Radio Benue, and posted online at www.muta.org. Applicants who were not selected will not be notified.
