Northern Youths Mobilised To Report Jason Njoku’s Iroko TV App After Google Deleted Crowwe.

News platform, Informant and all-around Media company “Daily News Hausa” on Facebook called out Northerners to review businesses apparently owned by eminent southern Nigerians with negative impressions.

According to their claim, this was sorely for retaliation, a payback for the wounded ego of ex-presidential candidate Adamu Garba, whose Crowwe app received shades of bad reviews until Google had to evict it from the play store.

“People of the North needs to respond, show IPOB we are more efficient than them, on this we have investigated some big apps of IPOB members that are on play store, we want them to go and report them until Google had deleted the app

1.Biafra World Radio, Founder: IPOB/ESN

2. The iRokoTv, Founder: Jason Njoku.

3. Softtalk messenger, Founder: Simple Azenabor.”

The Crowwe app which no longer exists in the play store or any affiliate to Google gained publicity during the period the Endsars protest was most rampant. Its owner made a tweet that went against the protest and also tried to effect a sue on Twitter’s CEO, Jack Dorsey for consenting to the protest.

Of recent, Twitter removed a tweet rightly made by the President of the Republic of Nigeria as it was deemed inappropriate and unfitting to grace public eyes because of the nature and pattern that supported genocide.

Adamu Garba while venting out his opinion said;

“Twitter has no right to infuse into our local political affairs. it’s a company, not a government. By removing our democratically elected president’s speech to the people of Nigeria, Twitter needs to shut down from Nigerian Internet space. Twitter needs to get out of Nigeria”.

The public figure, and CEO of IPI Groups couldn’t fail to take advantage of the unfavourable situation that encompassed the microblogging platform to promote his newly developed instant messaging and financial transaction app. In his tweet he urged Nigerians to start making use of Crowwe;

“Join crowwe now! Build your country build your people and build your brand join crowwe now.

This is the best opportunity to grow Nigeria to build Nigeria, Crowwe to the world.”

Nigerians frowned at his attempt to promote himself while leaving the business of many hampered due to the ban directive that he supported wholeheartedly. This much displeasure was expressed by Nigerians as they bombarded play store and made several demeaning remarks in respect to their opinion of Crowwe.

One of the most eye-catching reviews was one done by an anonymous individual which reads;

“It’s extremely disturbing. I am flabbergasted by the owner of this app. This disgusting person supports genocide, kidnapping, terrorism, hate speech and so much more I can’t speak of…

“I don’t even want my name to be on this app, how could you?, I don’t recommend downloading it and I am hoping this gets taken down effective immediately. Terrible”.

Another referenced the facts of plagiarism, as Crowwe was guilty of copying its terms and conditions from Spotify.

The outgrowing concern believed to be harbored for the deleted app by this group is without no doubt worthy of commendation, but delving further into the motives of this group that happens to have over “180,590 followers one can deduce that it is employing the help of the  Facebook platform to blow the flames of ethnic and tribal conflict.
