The Independent National Electoral Commission in exercising the powers conferred on it by the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999 (as amended) and the Electoral Act 2022 has released the timetable for the Ondo State 2024 Governorship election to replace the current Ondo State Governor who’s tenure will expire on February 23, 2025.

The electoral commission scheduled the political party primary election, including the resolution of conflict arising from the primaries, to commence on April 6, 2024, and end on April 27, 2024, while the Ondo State 2024 Governorship Election date is on November 16, 2024.

Below are the timetable/schedules for the 2024 Ondo State Governorship election as released by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
- Date for the commencement of party primaries and also the resolution of arising issues from the party primaries -> April 6, 2024
- The deadline for the party primaries -> April 27, 2024
- Date for the submission of forms EC9 (Candidates personal particulars) and EC9b (list of nominated candidates) online -> April 29, 2024 (9:00 am)
- Deadline for the submission of forms EC9 (Candidates personal particulars) and EC9b (list of nominated candidates) -> May 20, 2024 (6:00 pm)
- The date for the publication of the candidate’s particulars by the commission -> May 27, 2024
