Eligibility And How To Apply For The Nigerian Army 2026 Recruitment<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<div class=\"entry-content-wrapper\">\n<div class=\"entry-content-inner-wrapper\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Nigerian Army is calling on qualified Nigerians to apply for its ongoing Short Service Combatant Commission (SSCC) Course 49\/2026 to qualify as commissioned officers.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The recruitment exercise started on Thursday, October 9, 2025, and will close on Wednesday, November 12, 2025.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The programme is open to serving military personnel and eligible civilian applicants who meet the specified requirements, according\u00a0to the Army.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Applicants must be Nigerian citizens by birth and must be between 23 and 27 years old as of January 9, 2026.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Note<\/strong>: According to the Army, applicants will serve in the combat arms and combat support arms after successful training and commissioning.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Basic Requirements For Applicants\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>Applicants must be medically, mentally, and physically fit by Army standards.<\/li>\n<li>Applicants must provide two referees\u2019 attestation letters from recognised officials (e.g., a Local Government Chairman or a senior military\/police officer from the applicant\u2019s state).<\/li>\n<li>Applicants must submit a <a href=\"https:\/\/example.ng\/recruitment\/2025\/10\/14\/concor-graduate-recruitment-programme-2026\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Letter of Attestation<\/a> from former educational institutions.<\/li>\n<li>Minimum height: 1.68m (male) and 1.65m (female).<\/li>\n<li>Applicants must have no criminal convictions or disciplinary cases;
