How to Make a WhatsApp Screen Video Call on an Android and iOS Device

Things You Should Know Before Activating The WhatsApp Screen Sharing Feature on Your Device

  • WhatsApp Screen sharing can only be enabled during video calls.
  • Ensure that you are using the latest version of WhatsApp
  • All information displayed on your screen during the screen sharing will be visible to everyone you share with, including your password or username.
  • Screen sharing is end-to-end encrypted, meaning no one outside the person you share it with can access or record it, including WhatsApp.
  • Screen sharing can not be enabled during audio calls
  • During screen sharing, video feeds of call members appear below shared content.

How to make a WhatsApp Screen Video Call on an Android

Below are the steps to enable the WhatsApp Screen sharing feature on your Android device:

  • Open the WhatsApp app on your Android phone
  • Make a video call to someone or accept
  • Tap in the video controls to access screen sharing. Your phone will show a prompt that you are about to start a screen video call or screen sharing on WhatsApp.
  • tap on the Start Now button

To record and share your screen through the WhatsApp screen-sharing feature;

  • Open WhatsApp on your iOS device
  • Initiate or accept a video call
  • Tap on on the video controls to access the screen-sharing feature. Your phone will show a prompt that you are about to begin a screen video call or screen sharing.
  • Tap on Start Now
  • Whenever you want to stop the screen video recording, you can tap on Stop sharing to stop.
