The NYSC Orientation Camp; 7 things to expect in the NYSC Camp and ways to survive them

This was part of resolutions made at the NYSC 2016 Batch ‘B’ Pre-Mobilization Workshop, which took place at Premier Hotel, Ibadan.

The workshop also resolved that the biometric verification of prospective Corps members at Orientation camps will not be compromised during registration.

Student Affairs Officers have, therefore, been advised to continuously educate their students on the need to register and do biometric data capture by themselves and not by proxy.

Corps Producing Institutions were further asked to consider the use of evidence of registration with professional bodies before mobilizing graduates of professional courses for national service.

The workshop resolved that Student Affairs Officers should always collate the data of their graduates with thoroughness and scrutinize same with the graduates before upload to eliminate errors.

Tagged, “Overcoming the Challenges of NYSC Mobilization Process: The Role of Stakeholders”, the workshop was declared opened by the Governor of Oyo State Senator Abiola Ajimobi represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Ismail Olalekan Alli.

Governor Ajimobi enjoined all stakeholders in the mobilization process to support the drive of NYSC management to achieve the desired objectives.

Student Affairs Officers from Corps Producing Institutions were among participants at the workshop.
