    Recruitment into the Nigerian Air Force 2025 is ongoing. Nigerian Air Force is calling on all interested and qualified applicants to apply for its Basic Military Training Course (BMTC 46/2025) for SSCE certificate holders, National Diploma certificate, NABTEB, RN/RM/NCE or City & Guild Certificate and Trade Test Certificate.

    The basic Military Training Course BMTC is a short-period training for recruits to become Airmen and Airwomen, not normally more than 6 months of training. 

    Secondary School Certificate holders, National Diploma, NABTEB, RN/RM/NCE, or City & Guild Certificate, and Trade Test Certificate holders are encouraged to apply. 

    Application Guidelines

    Applicants are advised to carefully read and follow all instructions on the recruitment portal before submitting their applications.

    Upon completion, candidates must print out:

    • An Acknowledgement Form
    • A Parent/Guardian Consent Form
    • A Local Government Area Attestation Form
    • The attestation form must be signed by a Military Officer not below the rank of Wing Commander or a Police Officer of at least Chief Superintendent rank, or a Local Government Chairman, Secretary or a Magistrate from the applicant’s state of origin.
    • Each form must include the signee’s passport photograph and a copy of a valid identification card, such as a National ID, Driver’s Licence, or International Passport.
    • The NAF emphasised that forms will not be generated for invalid applicants, warning that all information provided must be accurate.

    Eligibility Criteria

    • Applicants must be Nigerian citizens by birth and possess a National Identity Card NIN or BVN.
    • Applicants must not be less than 1.66m in height for males and 1.63m in height for females.
    • Applicants must be medically, physically and psychologically fit.
    • Applicants must be free of any previous conviction(s) on criminal grounds by a court of law.
    • Applicants must be Nigerian citizens and meet all medical, physical, and psychological fitness requirements of the Nigerian Air Force.
    • Height requirements: Minimum of 1.66 meters for males, and a Minimum of 1.63 meters for females

    The Nigerian Army is calling on qualified Nigerians to apply for its ongoing Short Service Combatant Commission (SSCC) Course 49/2026 to qualify as commissioned officers.

    The recruitment exercise started on Thursday, October 9, 2025, and will close on Wednesday, November 12, 2025.

    The programme is open to serving military personnel and eligible civilian applicants who meet the specified requirements, according to the Army.

    Applicants must be Nigerian citizens by birth and must be between 23 and 27 years old as of January 9, 2026.

    Note: According to the Army, applicants will serve in the combat arms and combat support arms after successful training and commissioning.

    Basic Requirements For Applicants 

    • Applicants must be medically, mentally, and physically fit by Army standards.
    • Applicants must provide two referees’ attestation letters from recognised officials (e.g., a Local Government Chairman or a senior military/police officer from the applicant’s state).
    • Applicants must submit a Letter of Attestation from former educational institutions.
    • Minimum height: 1.68m (male) and 1.65m (female).
    • Applicants must have no criminal convictions or disciplinary cases; service members must obtain endorsement from their commanding officers.
    • Applicants must possess at least a first degree (Second Class Lower) or HND (Lower Credit) from an accredited institution (2017 to date).

    Eligibility 

    There are some of the qualifications you need to apply for the UN YPP in 2025. They include the following:

    1. Education: Applicants must hold at least a first-level University degree (Bachelor’s or equivalent, with a minimum of three years of study) in a field relevant to the exam area. 
    2. Age: Applicants must not be above 32 years of age when taking the exam( born on or after 1st January 1993)
    3. Language: Applicants must be fluent in either English or French, the working language of the UN. 
    4. Applicants should attach a government-issued photo ID that indicates their nationality and degree certificates when applying.

    While the exact date may vary, the estimated timeline for UN YPP 2025 is:

    1. Application Period: October – November 2025
    2. Screening of Application: November – December 2025
    3. Examination Stage: January – April 2026
    4. Interviews and Final Results: May – June 2026

    How To Apply For The UN YPP 

    The application process for the UN YPP is managed through Inspira, the UN’s online recruitment platform. Candidates are expected to follow these steps:  

    1. Confirm Eligibility: Review the basic requirements for nationality, age, education and language. 
    2. Create An Inspira Account: Register at inspira.un.org to begin the process.
    3. Search for UN YPP Job Postings: Job openings regarding the UN YPP will be posted in October. 
    4. Complete Application: Provide accurate personal details, education and qualifications. Be sure to write a strong Motivation Statement as it relates to the job. 
    5. Submit Application: Ensure all documents are uploaded and all fields are completed. Once submitted, the application cannot be modified.
    6. Monitor Notifications: Candidates will receive notifications if they are eligible to take the exam.

    • Highlight Achievements: Point out your accomplishments and work results produced
    • Customise Motivation Statement: Tailor your Statement to each specific exam area 
    • Be Precise: Use clear words and avoid the use of vague statements 
    • Prepare for Interviews: Use relevant materials like the Situation-Action-Result (SAR) Format to prepare for your interview
