The identity of the Murdered Nigerian graduates in Canada revealed

The identities of the two deceased Nigerian men who were shot dead on by some unidentified gunmen at the ATL Lounge in Vaughan, Ontario, Canada, have been publicised.

According to an account ‘GoFundMe’ account opened by one Adam Abdul, who had claimed to be a cousin to one of them, the men are Chibueze Momah 22yrs old, and Tosin Awaroshegbe 25yrs old.

Adam Abdul wrote, “Chibueze and Tosin were both hardworking workers who were working as security guards for many lounges in Vaughan, Ontario. The both of them were respected and cherished by many in the community. Their dream was only getting started as both of them recently graduated. Chibueze was set to make his way into the technology industry and Tosin our treasured engineer. But unfortunately, their life was cut short. It is our expectation to raise about $50,000 for each respective family to help with all their funeral costs and to reunify their bodies with their families.”

“He had just completed his Master’s program and was working as a security guard to make extra money. He was only trying to do his job when he got killed. I only met Chibueze about two weeks ago in Ontario, Canada. He was such a sweet gentleman. When I heard Tosin got shot, I immediately texted Chibueze to find out if he was okay, only to find out later that Chibueze was also shot. They were both killed on the spot,” she tweeted.

The statement read thus, “On Saturday, July 23, 2022, at about 3.30am, the York Regional Police ‘YRP’ replied to a nightclub in the area of Highway 7 and Keele Street, Vaughan for the report of a shooting. When the YRP officers arrived at the scene, they found three victims with severe gunshot wounds.

“A 25 and 22-year-old male were pronounced dead at the scene, also a 20-year-old female victim was immediately conveyed to hospital suffering from a severe gunshot injury. The injured victim is currently recovering in hospital.
“The suspect(s) fled the scene erstwhile to the YRK police arrival”.
