The factional governorship candidate of the PDP in Ebonyi State, Chief Ifeanyi Odii, has never been a member of the peoples democratic party, as alleged by the immediate Caretaker Committee Chairman of PDP in the state, Elder Fred Udeogu.

The PDP chieftain who has stated this on Monday, in an intereview, in Abakaliki.

 “He had indicated interest to run in the governorship race, went through the normal screening process by a highly-powered committee which had been set up by the national body of the party to screen its aspirants and he was also screened and found fit to run the governorship race  and was cleared to contest the election. So, not a member of the peoples democratic party of the state can talk about him being an intruder and these people, who are discussing about these things are those who have relied on him for their individual political activities.

“Then, Ifeanyi Odii, a Lagos-based businessman, who was never a member of the PDP felt he could buy the just party over. As Chairman of the Caretaker Committee of the party in the state, I have  not seen him or met him before in my office. He came in and started looking for a means to become governor and said Abakaliki does not have what it takes to make him to be governor. He is not a PDP member.

“With the money he has, he bought some boys over who started ‘clapping’ for him and ‘shouting’ his name all over the state. There is no top and renowned politician in Ebonyi State that is with him.”

He noted that all the idle minds in the party were uncomfortable because his a boss his came into the peoples democratic party and has place himself very properly”.

Onyike said, “In Nigeria, people just talk without knowing the actual fact”.
