The two leaders in Lagos State transport union, Azeez Ajibola, aka Istijabah; and his countepart Musiliu Akinsanya, aka MC Oluomo; appeared to have settled their differences and have agreed to work together, reports learnt.
Azeez Ajibola (Istijabah) is known as the Chairman of the Tricycle Owners and Operators Association of Nigeria (TOOAN) in the State and Musiliu Akinsanya (MC Oluomo) who is the newly appointed Chairman of the Lagos State Parks and Garages Management Committee.
The two transport leaders have been having some argument for some months over the control of motor parks and garages in the state and their deputies have repeatedly engaged in several violent clashes in many parts of Lagos state.
Howeve, some correspondent gathered from sources familiar with the situation that the two Lagos state union leaders were invited to a settlement meeting at the Ministry of Transportation in Alausa, Lagos state this week.
The meeting was attended by Musiliu Akinsanya (MC Oluomo) and his counterpart Azeez Ajibola (stijabah); also AIG Hakeem Odumosu (retd.), the Government Liaison Officer of the state’s parks management committee; officials of the transport ministry, amongst others.
In a viral video released to his social media page and confirmed to The PUNCH, Azeez Ajibola (Istijabah) said the dispute was over.
Istijabah, who spoke in Yoruba language, stated that, “God has helped us settle the disagreement between myself (Istijabah) and MC Oluomo. I said everything I said about him when I wasn’t happy and they were false. The people at the Ministry of Transportation in Lagos state have settled the whole matter.
“Currently now, from myself Azeez Ajibola as the Zonal Chairman of Zone C in Lagos state and all the excos and all branch chairman in the state, we have united with the Park and Garages established by the Lagos State Government. The progress of Lagos state is our responsibility.”
