Eligibility Criteria
Here, the eligibility criteria include:
- Applicants should not be U.S. citizens or current residents.
- Applicants must be enrolled in an undergraduate or master’s program outside the U.S.
- Should not have pursued or be currently enrolled in a PhD program.
- Applicants must focus on chemistry or a related field (e.g., physics, biology, engineering, computer science).
- Applicants should plan to begin a PhD in chemistry within 18 months of the program.
Requirements
The qualify for the application. applicants are also to submit the following documents:
- An unofficial copy of transcripts with an English translation.
- A CV in PDF format.
- Contact information for two professors who will provide recommendation letters.

To apply for the scholarship, you apply by submitting:
- An unofficial copy of your transcripts (with English translation)
- A copy of your CV in PDF format
- Contact information of two professors who are familiar with your work to serve as references*
- A copy of your application and instructions on submitting your reference letter will be sent to them from summer@chem.rochester.edu.
- Please follow up with your references to ensure they have received this email. Note that this automated email is sometimes filtered as spam.
- You will receive via email a copy of your submitted application and confirmation when your recommendation letters are received.
- Decisions and offers will be made in the last week of March.
