As a candidate aspiring to study a course at Nnamdi Azikwe University, you must understand that having the right information can serve as a guide for you. Now I will share how UNIZIK post-UTME is conducted and what you need.

The subjects include:

  • English language
  • Mathematics
  • General knowledge questions

The scoring for UNIZIK post UTME includes;

  • 50 questions for each section
  • Every correct answer carries 1 mark
  • Wrong answers get no mark

The timing includes;

  • The time allowed for the screening is 120 minutes, which is 2 hours
  • It is advisable to be punctual, because if you are late, you may not be allowed to take part

The things you need ;

  • Get your printed post-UTME slip
  • Get HB pencils
  • Eraser
  • Most importantly, you need to revise past questions and keep in touch with your SSCE subjects because questions come from there.

The highest score one can get is 150 marks, and the general cut-off mark for post-UTME is 50% of 150, which is 75 marks, and it is compulsory for every candidate to score that.

The cut-off mark is calculated based on the following factors;

  • The number of applicants from both UTME and data entry
  • The number of available slots for that course
  • The academic requirement for that course
  • The quota of intake for that academic session
  1. How are UTME scores and UNIZIK Post UTME scores calculated

The scores for UTME and POST-UTME are calculated as follows;

For example;

  • Amaka is an aspirant
  • She scored 200 in her UTME exams
  • In the post-UTME, she scored 75 marks
  • Amaka applies to study History and International Relations, which requires 190 and 75 marks.
  • The aggregate score of Amaka is UTME 200, Post UTME – 75 marks
  • The total is 275

Amaka is eligible for admission because she exceeds the cut-off mark for the course she applied for.

  1. Can I Apply to Unizik With a Low Post UTME Score

In this case, there are three available options for anyone who has a low score.  These includes

  • Change the course of study and go for another course that is in the same field but has a lower cut-off mark.
  • You can rewrite the UTME exam the following year
  • You can change your choice of institution
