The Barb Daly Excellence and Student Leadership Award is an annual award that recognizes outstanding students who have shown exceptional leadership qualities and made significant contributions to their academic institution and community.
This award is named in honor of Barb Daly, a former Director of Student Services at the University of British Columbia, who was known for her commitment to student development and leadership.
The award is open to all full-time undergraduate students who are enrolled at the University of British Columbia, and winners receive a monetary prize and recognition for their achievements.
Each year, numerous bursaries and awards are offered to graduate students. The Graduate Students’ Association has established a few of these awards, including the Barb Daly Excellence and Student Leadership Award.
Two exceptional graduate students currently enrolled at Brock University will be awarded this prize.
- To be eligible to apply for internal awards, scholarships, and bursaries, the graduate student must be registered as a full-time student.
- A student who is withdrawn from the university or has a change of status will have their scholarship eligibility reviewed and adjustments to their financial support.
The scholarship is worth $3,045.
Applicants will be required to submit a two page outline (~500 words) demonstrating achievements in student leadership and service to the Brock community.
At the time you submit your application to graduate studies at Brock University you are required to complete and submit the Graduate Student Internal Entrance Scholarship/Award Application which will appear on your applicant portal account as a document required for admission.
After you have submitted your graduate studies application, instructions to activate your applicant portal account will be sent via email.
