Before his current appointment, Professor Chidiebere Onyia held the position of Managing Director at the United Kingdom Nigeria Infrastructure Facility. He also served as the Lead Strategy Advisor for the Federal Government of Nigeria in the World Bank Group Power Sector Recovery Programme.

He has provided his expertise and services to various international organizations and countries, including the United Nations, Germany, and Russia.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Professor Onyia holds the Visiting Professor of Education position at Godfrey Okoye University in Enugu.

He has also served as a Visiting Professor at the University of Nigeria Nsukka and is an active member of the Governing Council of two private Nigerian universities.

He possesses a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences, a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction, an MBA degree, and a Doctorate degree in Educational Leadership. Furthermore, he was awarded a post-doctoral scholarship in Education Policy from the esteemed Peabody College at Vanderbilt University.

With a remarkable career spanning over 25 years, Professor Onyia has gained extensive leadership, innovation, strategy, institutional reforms, and research expertise.

His significant contributions to the education sector have been recognized internationally and nationally, resulting in numerous awards and accolades for his outstanding leadership excellence.

He is widely published and holds certifications as an educational consultant, researcher, presenter, mentor, and author of multiple books.
