Ekiti election: Biodun Oyebanji, APC candidate has been declared the winner by INEC
Ekiti election: Biodun Oyebanji, The Independent National Electoral Commission has declared the seeker of the All Progressive Congress, Biodun Oyebanji, the winner of the Ekiti State governorship election.
The Returning Officer for the election, Prof Kayode Adebowale, who’s the Vice-Chancellor, of the University of Ibadan, blazoned the results.
Ekiti election: Biodun Oyebanji, Adebowale said, “ Oyebanji, having scored the loftiest number of votes is hereby declared the winner and returned tagged as the governor-elect of Ekiti State ” has declared the seeker
The APC scored,057 votes to master its closest rival, the SDP, which garnered,211 votes, the PDP, which got,457 votes and 13 other parties which shared in Saturday’s governorship election.
Ekiti election: Biodun Oyebanji, Out of the,753 votes cast, the total valid votes in the election were 865.
While the agent of SDP, Owoseeni Ajayi, didn’t subscribe to the forms for the votes cast, the agent of the ADP, said, “ rather than having polling centres, what we’ve in Ekiti are vote-buying centres ”.
Meanwhile, our reporters who covered the exercise across the state reported that in Ado- Ekiti, the state capital, residers trooped to the thoroughfares to celebrate the palm in the nothingness of the night.
At the Government House in the Oke Ayoba area of the city, other APC governors, led by the state governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi, covered the exercise.

also, in Ikogosi- Ekiti, Ekiti West Local Government Area, where Oyebanji hails from, residers also began celebrating the palm of their kin at the bean.
Also in Ikere- Ekiti, where Oyebanji’s handling mate, Mrs Monitade Afuye, hails from, residers also began festivity as the results were blazoned by the separate original government Returning Officers.
In the different corridors of the state also, some members of the ruling party celebrated the palm, describing it as well- justified.
Our reporters observed that previous to the advertisement of the results at the collation centre, all the results from the 16 original government areas had been uploaded on the Result Viewing Portal of the Independent National Electoral Commission, known as IReV.
