About The Role 

The Deputy Manager, Marketing & Communications, plays a key role in executing and supporting the organisation’s marketing, brand, and communication strategies.

This position is responsible for ensuring consistent messaging, driving audience engagement, supporting integrated campaigns, and enhancing brand visibility and reputation across all internal and external touchpoints.

Job Summary

The Deputy Manager, Marketing & Communications, plays a key role in executing integrated marketing strategies and managing brand communications across multiple platforms.

The role supports planning, coordinating, and implementing campaigns that drive brand visibility, engagement, and business growth.

It involves working with creative agencies, media vendors, internal teams, and external stakeholders to ensure consistent brand messaging and effective communication delivery.

 Key Responsibilities

Marketing Strategy & Execution:

  • Support the development and implementation of annual marketing plans and campaigns.
  • Coordinate integrated marketing efforts across traditional, digital, and experiential platforms.
  • Ensure all campaigns align with brand positioning and strategic objectives.
  • Monitor, analyse, and report on campaign performance and ROI.

Brand Management:

  • Ensure brand consistency across all touchpoints, including content, design, and communications.
  • Work with creative teams, agencies, and internal stakeholders to develop marketing materials and content.
  • Lead the development and rollout of brand guidelines and toolkits.

Public Relations:

Manage the perception and image of the brand through media relations, stakeholder engagement, writing and publishing feature stories, press releases, and op-eds.

Internal & External Communications: 

  • Draft and manage corporate communications such as press releases, speeches, newsletters, and internal memos.
  • Serve as a liaison with PR agencies and media outlets for coverage, partnerships, and crisis management.
  • Support internal communications to foster a strong company culture and employee engagement.

Events, Sponsorships & Activations:

  • Plan and manage events, sponsorships, and brand activations, ensuring alignment with brand strategy.
  • Work with vendors, partners, and internal teams to deliver seamless event experiences.

Stakeholder & Team Collaboration:

  • Work closely with Sales, Strategy, Product, and HR teams to support cross-functional initiatives.
  • Supervise and guide junior marketing staff, interns, and agency partners as needed.

Key Performance Indicators

  • Campaign engagement and conversion metrics
  • Brand awareness and sentiment improvement
  • Media coverage and public perception metrics
  • Internal stakeholder satisfaction and cross-functional collaboration
  • On-time, on-budget delivery of projects and campaigns

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or related field
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in marketing, brand, or communications
  • A master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CIM, NIMN, APCON, Digital Marketing) is an added advantage
  • Proven track record of supporting or leading successful marketing campaigns
  • Industry experience in media, financial services, retail, telecom, or FMCG is a plus
  • Familiarity with SEC and regulatory guidelines relating to investment promotions.
  • Strong understanding of financial products and investment terminology.

Job Knowledge:

Marketing Strategy Development:  Sound knowledge of creating and executing marketing plans across digital, ATL, and BTL channels.

Content Creation & Storytelling: Ability to develop compelling content across mediums, including social media, TV, print, and PR.

Campaign Management: Skilled in end-to-end campaign planning, budgeting, execution, and performance evaluation.

Media Planning & Buying: Understanding of media mix optimisation, audience targeting, and negotiation with media houses.

Digital Marketing: Knowledge of SEO, social media management, Google Ads, email marketing, and analytics.

Brand Management: Deep understanding of brand equity, identity systems, and maintaining brand consistency.

Internal & External Communications: Experience in managing press releases, crisis communication, and stakeholder messaging.

Creative and Agency Collaboration: Familiarity with briefing, reviewing, and managing agencies to deliver on-brand materials.

Skills / Competencies:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Project management and multitasking ability
  • Creativity and a good eye for design and messaging
  • Knowledge of digital marketing tools and platforms (e.g., Google Ads, Meta Ads, Mailchimp, etc.)
  • Strategic thinking with attention to detail
  • Media relations and crisis communication experience (a plus)

Salary
N550,000 – N600,000 per month.

2. Job Openings At The Concept Group For Treasury Officer (Funds Mobilisation/ Wealth Management)

Employment Type: Full-Time

Job Summary

The Treasury Officer is responsible for building and managing strategic relationships for fixed deposit customers, serving as the single point of contact for new business as well as existing portfolios.

He/She will manage the funds of HNI (high net worth) customers.

 Key Responsibilities

  • Source appropriately priced and structured deposit liabilities for the company from retail and institutional sources.
  • Cultivate new clientele on a regular basis.
  • Cultivate and maintain courteous and efficient relationships with clients.
  • Timely response to feedback and other customer-related issues or requests.
  • Participate in creating new and better marketing based on field experience.
  • Visit, engage prospects and maintain the liability generated
  • Propose services, upselling and cross-selling whenever possible
  • Recruit, train and build a sales team across the country
  • Increase the number of Treasury services taken up by Clients
  • Ensure the effective, high-quality management of Clients
  • Conduct periodic competitor analysis, reviewing product rates and requirements
  • Prepare and send a periodic report to management
  • On-board and manage subordinates to maintain a consistently high number of prospects, and with a high conversion rate
  • Train IMTs and Treasury Admin on the various Treasury products and relevant company policies.

Key Requirements

  • Minimum education level –First degree in any discipline from a reputable academic institution. Post-graduate qualification(s) and professional membership will be an added advantage.
  • 3+ years of experience in sales and business development.
  • Demonstrated track record of meeting/exceeding goals as an individual contributor.
  • Successful experience building a territory from little or nothing.
  • Skilled at building rapport, opening doors, and understanding the business requirements of senior decision makers.
