Kenyan Chef – How Maliha Mohammed Plans To Smash Hilda Baci’s 100-Hour Of Long Cooking Marathon

In August, Maliha Mohammed, the chief of Kenya, intends to surpass the current Guinness world record for the longest continuous cooking session.

Just a short while after Nigerian Chef Hilda Baci accomplished the feat, on Monday, May 15th, by cooking for more than 100 hours at Amore Gardens in Lekki, Lagos state, the Kenyan chief Maliha Mohammed is now aiming to break the World Record as well.

Based on a video recording, Maliha stated that she had previously set a new record in both 2017 and 2019, consecutively achieving this feat in a considerably shorter duration each time.

In the year 2018, Maliha successfully shattered the record by engaging in non-stop cooking for a duration of 72 hours. Furthermore, in 2019, she surpassed her previous accomplishment by cooking continuously for 75 hours. Regrettably, despite her remarkable achievements, Maliha expressed that her endeavours were never officially acknowledged by the Guinness World Records.

Chef Maliha asserted that in order to secure the record for the “Longest Cooking by an Individual Marathon,” she would need to surpass the recent achievement set by Hilda Baci, who cooked for over 100 hours.

The chef from Kenya additionally revealed her intention to surpass another record, specifically the “home kitchen cooking marathon.”

According to Maliha, she submitted her application for the Guinness World Record in December of the previous year and received a positive response via email, granting her the approval to proceed.

As per her statement, Maliha has committed herself to undergo training between the months of May and June in order to adequately prepare herself to surpass the existing record.
