LAUTECH UTME/DE 2023: Cut-off mark, eligibility and registration details

This is to notify all eligible candidates who wrote the last concluded Post-UTME and also to other candidates who wants LAUTECH as their Institution of study in the 2022/2023 academic calendar year, that a Post-UTME Computer Based Test (CBT) screening exercise and oral interview for Direct Entry candidates for admission to the University’s various programmes have been set to take place on Wednesday and Thursday, December 1 and 2, 2022 and Wednesday and Thursday, December 13 and 14, 2022 respectively.

The application forms for the screening exercise will be made available online for registration and submission from Friday, October 1 to Friday, November 26, 2023. O’Level results must be uploaded on CAPS before any admission will be offered to any candidate, candidates are required to accept or reject their admission status on CAPS before JAMB’s closure of CAPS for the year in order to be on JAMB National Matriculation list.

To be eligible for the Post-UTME examination, candidates must have scored 160 marks and above in the 2022/2023 UTME, anything short of that will not qualify any candidate for the Post-UTME examination.

METHOD OF APPLICATION

All applications are done online, thus all candidates are mandated to visit the university website www.admissions.lautech.edu.ng to make payment of Two Thousand Naira (N2,000.00) which is the registration fee for the online screening exercise. Payments are to be made via InterSwitch Enabled Debit Card (ATM) as well as get acquainted with the available programme offered in the institution and the O’Level, A’Level entry requirements and UTME subject combination for each of the programmes so indicated.

All applicants are to carefully fill out all the required forms on the application form, and they are required to submit a clear passport with a white background. The university will not be held accountable for any wrong information provided by the candidate.

The photograph provided above shall be used as a means of identification during the screening exercise, any candidate that provides a blurred photograph will not be admitted into the hall for the screening exercise. All candidates are expected to present The COLOUR PRINT OUT acknowledgement page at the door in order to be admitted into the hall for the screening exercise. Candidates should be aware that if all these conditions are not met, they will not be allowed into the hall for the screening exercise.

Applicants with awaiting results in NECO, WASC and NABTEB, are also eligible to apply. Although they must upload the results on JAMB Caps two weeks after release. Results uploaded after the scheduled time frame may not be accepted. Also, any candidate that is not consistent with their names on any results and state of origin will not be acceptable to the University and may lead to disqualification. Candidates’ names on their O’Level results, other registration documents, as well as state of origin must tally to avoid any setback.

DIRECT ENTRY CANDIDATES

This information goes out to all Direct Entry Candidates including those on LAUTECH JUPEB programme or other Institutions’ JUPEB programme, who has decided to be considered for admission for the 2022/2023 academic session must have obtained Direct Entry forms from JAMB in order to be eligible for the oral screening interview scheduled to hold as provided above.

All candidates follow the method of application listed above.

ELIGIBILITY

Only candidates who have at least five (5) credits in relevant subjects at not more than two (2) sittings in SSCE/NECO/NABTEB will be eligible for LAUTECH Post-UTME, whereas the University accepts a minimum of Upper Credit for National Diploma candidates, HND, NCE, RNS and JUPEB for Direct Entry candidates with five (5) credit passes in SSCE/NECO/NABTEB in relevant subjects.

Furthermore, candidates who wish to study Medicine, Nursing, Medical Laboratory Science, Biochemistry, Physiology and Anatomy must have passed at least 5 relevant subjects in the first sitting.
Also, candidates whose score is below 200 in the UTME will not qualify for admission to study any of the courses in the College of Health Sciences.
