The feeling of being beautiful and confident is one thing many women crave. The idea of giving out that pretty, cute, confident, sassy, sexy or even a killer hot vibe is one of the things most ladies and women watch out for in their fashion.

Beauty is something treasured, utmost perfection is, and looks is also another thing women and ladies tend to give attention to.

A lot of women and ladies out there want to feel beautiful, sexy and also confident. It comes down to the need to put extra effort into their fashion approach. Though many women tend to go with their natural look, others take extra time to enhance their looks, giving attention to facials as this is the area where most people tend to read off expressions aside body language.

Make-up is one of the ways women and ladies transform their facial look in order to suit their expression, match their fashion sense, and also enhance their beauty.

Series of steps are undergone by ladies in applying make-up and while it’s easier for some to easily get a hang off the steps and processes after watching you-tube videos, beauty influencers and artist, for others it feels like they are the only one in the universe who can’t apply makeup like a pro even after watching videos and others.

Most problems faced by ladies in make-up ranges from how to tackle a cat eye, how to draw a contour and highlights, how to apply a concealer or even how to apply foundation and down to determining the kind of lip gloss to use.

And so I’ve got this 10 make-up tips for you and I hope at the end of this article you would have learned to use and apply that make-up product for your facial beautification.

  • TIP 1: Preparing Your Skin

This step entails deciding your skin type, if it is oily or dry. Doing this will determine what type of cosmetic to buy. To check your skin type, here are some questions you need to ask yourself.

  • Does your face often look shiny? If yes, you have an oily skin
  • Does your make-up tend to sweat off easily? If yes, you have an oily skin
  • Does your face feel tight in the morning before and after a shower and do your lips chap easily? If yes, you probably have dry skin

Knowing your skin type helps determine the type of cleansers, moisturizer and the make-up product you should use.

A moisturizer is good for ladies with and oily skin. An oily skin is so because its dehydrated and excess oil is a way for over-compensating your skin. But if the skin is too dry, an exfoliating cleanser is required. Though, it is not advisable to exfoliate daily so as not to tire the skin out.

  • TIP 2: Eyelids

While using your eye pencil, if it tugs on your eyelid or makes multiple coats, melt it down slightly by placing the tip of the pencil under a flame of a lighter for just a second. Let it cool and the swat on your hand to make sure it’s not too hot or melted. Doing this helps to give a firm filling for your eyelids.

  • TIP3: Eyebrows

Eyebrows can make or break your entire look. A misshapen eyebrow could make you look sad, old, or tired. So it’s best not to ignore them while doing your make-up.

Start by having your eyebrows professionally carved to the most flattering shape possible. After that, you start filling with eye pencil or gel. Always use light strokes for filling. It gives a natural look.

  • TIP 4: Applying foundation

While applying foundation, if you want a thin transparent coverage, use your fingers. But if you want full coverage, then a foundation brush should be used.

  • TIP 5: Applying concealer

Concealer helps to hide scars or dark circles. It should be of a lighter shade than the foundation. For a better result, apply concealer in a conical pattern under the eyes and extend down to almost at the end of your nose. Blend with a makeup brush.

  • TIP 6: Application of blush

For maximum result, apply the blush first, and then apply foundation over it. It gives your skin that internal natural glow.

  • TIP 7: Eye shadow application

To get a less pigmented eyebrow, apply a white base filling with a white eyeliner pencil on your eyelid.

  • TIP 8: For thicker lashes

First apply a coat of mascara and dust some baby powder on it. Then apply another coat. This gives you thicker lashes

  • TIP 9: lipstick application

If you want your lips to appear fuller, use a lip liner around your lip margin and then apply your lipstick

  • TIP 10: For lip gloss

To avoid getting lip gloss on your teeth, put your thumb on your lips, pucker out and pull out.

These are just some essential tips to note while applying makeup.

  • But as a lady, you must realize that makeup is not meant to hide your flaws, but rather add more to your beauty. It should not also be done overboard, a bold and neat makeup accentuates your beauty more than one that is too loud.
  • Makeup should be done with fun and also with the aim of pampering yourself. Believe you are beautiful no matter what and that makeup is just something to add more.

Always wear your make up with pride; we all know confidence is sexy.
