News Today – Nigerian Chef Hilda Baci Has Been Declared The Holder Of The Longest Cooking Time By GWR
After attempting to break the record for the longest cooking time, Hilda Baci, a chef from Nigeria, has been officially declared the holder of the longest cooking time by the Guinness Book of World Records.
For several weeks, Nigerians have been eagerly waiting for the Guinness Book of World Records to re-evaluate Hilda Baci’s attempt, and this topic has been a hot topic of conversation among them.
Although the Guinness Book of World Records did not recognize her as having the longest cooking time of 100 hours for reasons that will be explained later., she achieved her dream.
She cooked for 100 hours straight, surpassing the previous record of 87 hours and 45 minutes held by India’s Lata Tondon.
However, the Guinness World Record organization only recorded 93 hours 11 minutes for her because she mistakenly took extra minutes for one of her rest breaks early on in the attempt.
Even though anyone attempting a marathon record receives a five-minute break for every hour completed, there was a miscalculation in Hilda’s rest breaks, making it impossible to award her the 100 hours claimed.
That is not necessary. As I mentioned before, her dream has been fulfilled. Congratulations to Hilda.
