Are you a graduate seeking an opportunity to serve your nation with pride and professionalism? The Nigerian Air Force is inviting applications for the Direct Short Service Course (DSSC) 34/2025 across various professions.

Eligibility Criteria For The Nigerian Air Force Direct Short Service Commission (DSSC) 2025 Recruitment

  • Applicants must be Nigerian citizens by birth
  • Applicants must be between the ages of 20 and 32 years, while Medical Doctors (consultants) could be between the ages of 25 and 40 years at the time of the application.
  • The Exercise is not for serving personnel desiring a Branch Commission. Therefore, personnel above 32 years of age are not eligible to apply.
  • A serving personnel must be recommended by his/her Commanding Officer/Commander and must have served for 10 years and attained the rank of Cpl.
  • Applicants must not be less than 1.66m tall for males and not less than 1.83m tall for females
  • Applicants must be free of any previous conviction(s) on criminal grounds by a court of law.
  • Applicants must be medically, physically and psychologically fit and must meet the Nigerian Air Force medical and employment standards.

Academic/Professional Qualification

  • Interested applicants must possess a minimum of Second Class Upper Division for holders of first degree and Upper Credit for HND holders.
  • An MSc/MA as well as Computer literacy will be added advantages. Likewise, membership of relevant professional bodies is an added advantage.
  • In addition, applicants must possess credit in English Language and Mathematics as well as three additional credits in subjects related to their course of study.
  • Applicants must possess a NYSC Discharge Certificate or a Letter of Exemption from NYSC at the time of applying for DSSC.
  • Medical applicants must possess certificates of registration with their respective statutory professional bodies in Nigeria.

  • Applicants must print and submit an Acknowledgement Form, Parent/Guardians Consent Form, and a Local Government Area Attestation Form.

Attestation Form Requirements: The Local Government Area Attestation Form must be signed by a military officer (Wing Commander or equivalent), a police officer (Assistant Commissioner or above), a substantive Local Government Chairman/Secretary, or a Magistrate from the applicant’s state of origin.

Supporting Documents for Attestation: The Attestation Form must be accompanied by the signee’s passport photograph and a photocopy of their driver’s license, National ID Card, or International Passport. Invalid applications will not generate the required forms.
