The Post-UTME (Post-Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination) was introduced in Nigeria in 2005.  Every year, universities, polytechnics, and colleges hold post-UTME screenings and exams to enable them to select candidates who meet the required JAMB cut-off mark  and other requirements that make them eligible to participate in the screening

The subjects for post-UTME differ based on the university and course the candidate has chosen to study.  For example, a student pursuing International Relations will take English, mathematics, and general knowledge questions from the core subjects of the course they intend to study.

The post-unified tertiary matriculation allows universities to test the knowledge and eligibility of candidates before giving them admission.  Post-UTME differs in various schools; some schools use exams, while others use screening based on documents and results.  And the cost for the post UTME form is 2000 naira.
