These are the things you should know concerning the holy month of Ramadan.

  • The Ramadan 2024 will start on March 11, 2024, towards the evening.
  • It ends on April 9, 2024, at sunset.
  • The Ramadan Timing is decided by a crescent-shaped moon sighting in Saudi Arabia.
  • All Muslims fast during this period and only break the fast with their families and friends.
  • A three-day festival called Eid al-Fitr is celebrated at the end of the fasting month of Ramadan.
  • During Ramadan, all Muslims do not eat or drink from dawn to sunset every day.
  • All abusive and immoral behaviours and thoughts shown by a Muslim are considered a violation of the Holy month.

Ramadan 2024 Fasting Rules

Here are the rules for the Ramadan 2024:

  • Muslims all over the world must fast from dawn to sunset every day
  • They must ensure that they eat their first meal (Suhoor) in the morning before dawn when the fasting begins.
  • Drinking, eating, smoking, and sexual intercourse are strictly prohibited during the fasting
  • All abusive words and impure thoughts are prohibited
  • Making some special prayers and going to the mosque are important activities that must be performed each day
  • All Muslims who have reached the puberty stage or are above and are healthy are expected to fast.
  • Daily reading the Holy Quran is a must for all Muslims
  • All Muslims must be devoted to charity and helping the less privileged during Ramadan 2024
  • All Muslims are expected to decorate their home, workplaces, and other places during Ramadan.
  • The Elderly, sick, Travellers and pregnant women must be exempted from the fasting.
  • At Sunset each day, all Muslims must eat the “Iftar” to break the fast.
  • The Fast must be broken daily by taking the “Iftar” with your families and friends.
  • All Muslims can continue with their social life after the fast is broken.

The Month of Ramadan is a month in which the practice of self-restraint, self-reflection, and gratitude is evident in the lives of every Muslim.
