Sappi Bursaries and Scholarship 2024 For African Students; See the Criteria for Eligibility

The Sappi Bursaries and Scholarship for African Students 2024 are ongoing, and all talented African youths have been called to apply. This scholarship is meant to reward students currently enrolling in recognized universities.
The Sappi Bursaries and Scholarship[ scheme is an annual programme meant to cater to the needs of talented young South African citizens. According to Sappi, “It is a talent-based approach where applicants who meet the minimum criteria are invited to a selection interview.
Criteria for Eligibility
To be eligible for the Sappi Bursaries and Scholarship for African Students 2024, here are the criteria which applicants must meet:
1. School leavers or University students who are applying for this programme must be between the ages of 18-25.
2. Applicants must also be studying or intending to study at accredited South African universities in one of the following fields;
- Bachelor of Engineering/Bachelor of Science – Mechanical Engineering
- Bachelor of Engineering/Bachelor of Science – Chemical Engineering
- Bachelor of Engineering/Bachelor of Science – Electrical Engineering
- Bachelor of Engineering/Bachelor of Science – Industrial Engineering
- Bachelor of Engineering/Bachelor of Science – Civil Engineering
- Bachelor of Engineering/Bachelor of Science – Mechatronics
- Bachelor of Engineering/Bachelor of Science – Forestry and Wood Science
- National Diploma in Pulp and paper
- National Diploma in Forestry
3. Applicants must also be South African Citizens
4. Applicants must also have an average of 70% in mathematics (not Maths literacy), 70-80% in Physical Science, and 60% in English.
5. Must also have qualifying points for entrance at the university or acceptance confirmation
6. Current university results will be considered for undergraduates, and there will be a preference for students who made above 75% in Mathematics and physical science
