On June 10 at the Atatürk Olympic Stadium in Istanbul, the Grammy Award-winning singer Burna Boy will co-headline the 2023 UEFA Champions League Final Kick-Off Show by Pepsi.

This information was made public on the UEFA Champions League website on Thursday.

Before the start of the biggest club match in football, the Nigerian star, known for his worldwide number-one hit “Last Last,” will excite and uplift millions of fans with his afrobeat soulfulness.

“It doesn’t get any bigger than the UEFA Champions League, as a huge football fan myself! I’m thrilled to be singing on the Pepsi stage at this year’s championship because of this. You already know that the best combination in the world is music and football, so in Istanbul, I’ll be bringing the vibes and working my magic. The world is not prepared for what is coming!” UEFA quoted Burna Boy as saying.

The UEFA Champions League Final Kick-Off Show by Pepsi, formerly known as the UEFA Champions League Opening Ceremony, is now in its seventh year and brings together music, sport, and culture with an electrifying performance. The other co-headliner for this year will be revealed soon.

Guy-Laurent Epstein, the UEFA marketing director, said: “A key component of our collaboration with Pepsi is the UEFA Champions League Final Kick-Off Show, which gives us a fantastic opportunity to engage new and younger audiences with some of the biggest names and up-and-coming musicians. At the season’s final in Istanbul, we’re thrilled to present a lineup of talented performers in what is sure to be a fun and memorable show.”
