WhatsApp Update – WhatsApp Has Introduced a New Feature For Editing Sent Messages

If you haven’t yet updated your WhatsApp, feel free to do so now. The latest WhatsApp update enables users to modify messages they have already sent.

On Monday, Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO of Meta, revealed this information. The latest addition to the instant messaging service permits users to edit their messages within a 15-minute of sending them.

As stated by Zuckerberg, “In situations where you make an error or have a change of heart, you now can edit your previously sent messages on WhatsApp.” He added, “We are enthusiastic about granting you greater control over your conversations, allowing you to rectify spelling mistakes or provide additional context to a message.”

“In order to do this, within a 15-minute window after sending the message, you need to press and hold the message for a brief period, and then choose the ‘Edit’ option from the menu,” he explained.

Before introducing this new feature, social media users had to either delete or send additional messages to make corrections.

Meta announced that the feature is being gradually rolled out to users and will be accessible to all within a few weeks.

Nevertheless, users of alternative platforms like Telegram and Signal have been utilizing messaging editing capabilities ahead of WhatsApp. Twitter has also granted premium users the ability to access the edit button.
