2023 Scholarships for International Students – The American College Of Surgeons Medical Scholarships

Date:

2023 Scholarships For International Students

The American College of Surgeons offers International Guest Scholarships to young surgeons from countries outside the United States or Canada who have shown a strong interest in teaching and research.

These scholarships, valued at $10,000 each, allow scholars to visit clinical, teaching, and research activities in the United States and Canada. They also allow scholars to fully participate in educational opportunities and activities at the American College of Surgeons Clinical Congress.

Originally, the scholarship endowment was established through the contributions made by Paul R. Hawley, MD (FACS Hon), a former College Director.

More recently, additional gifts from the family of Abdol Islami, MD (FACS), the Stavros Niarchos Foundation, and others have expanded the number of scholarship awards available through the International Guest Scholarship endowment.

About The American College Of Surgeons

The primary focus of the American College of Surgeons is to enhance the well-being and treatment of surgical patients while upholding high standards of care within a favourable and ethical practice setting.
