4 Food substances that causes brain decline

Date:

The most vital component of the human body is the brain. Being the central processing unit of the body the brain is vested with the responsibility of channeling thoughts into consciousness while rending the human nervous system as fulcrums to exact such actions by way of pulses.

It carries the identity of an individual, governs the cognitive atmosphere by threading awareness, and remotely organizes the internal composite of the human body by putting round pegs in round holes, with all this the need for a healthy brain cannot be overemphasized, not by a longshot.

But the genuine nature of reality has shown an alarming rate of mental genocide as many individuals are killing their brains without even knowing.

A large percentage of what a human being ingest has a direct or indirect influence on the brain, while some of these substances develop the brain others are placing the brain within a spinning distance of dementia, Alzheimer and other major mental diseases.

The key to living a healthy life is knowing what to eat. Below is a list of food substance that are harmful to the human brain

4 Food substances that causes brain decline

1.       Food rich in trans-fat.

Excessive intake of food high in trans-fat (unsaturated fat ) can result in dire consequences for your brain.

Otherwise processed as hydrogenated oil, the ingestion of unsaturated fat can speed up the mental clock of an average individual till Alzheimer’s kicks in. it can also worsen the brain condition till its shrinkage becomes viable, the cognitive decline becomes prevalent and memory recollection becomes difficult.

2.       Sugar

While the habit of ingesting sugar has become predominant amongst the growing population, the alarming danger it has incurred has failed to serve as a deterrent owning to how little it has been advertised; and how poorly the effect of sugar has been connected to our health— as far as we are told.

The excessive consumption of sugary spiked beverages heightens the risk of heart-related disease, diabetes type 2, Alzheimer and brain inflammation.

How so?

High sugar beverages; at least a number of them, are rich in fructose which can easily serve as triggers to arterial dysfunction; an extreme characteristic of metabolic syndrome that raises the risk of dementia.

3.       Alcohol

The end root of excessive alcohol intake spans across a plethora of health deficiencies, perhaps the most mentioned of them all is the sheer case of brain damage; dementia, of course, and memory loss.

The excessive intake of such hampers the flow of blood to the brain, cutting it short of required oxygen and starving the cerebellum; the part required for cognitive activities. This hoists an extreme level of dementia possibility.

4.       Mercury

Although the substance itself isn’t all that bad, an increased intake of it can prove dangerous.

Mercury is sometimes found in the tissues of animals such as fishes, they are neurotoxins hauled along in a stabled quantity by these animals.

After consuming any substance that contains heavy metal (otherwise mercury) its circulation around the human body disinters its resting place in major organs such as the liver and brain, a mere intoxication of such can prove harmful to the brain and the entire central nervous system.
