African Students: SOAP Spearhead Essay Contest 2023

The annual Spearhead Essay Contest organized by Spear of African Peace (SOAP) is an opportunity for individuals to participate in a safe space to share their personal stories and connect with others who share similar experiences.

With the current refugee crisis being the worst in modern history, people have been forced to leave their homes due to violence and persecution. This has affected many individuals mentally and emotionally.

If you have been affected by this crisis, SOAP wants to hear your story and how it has inspired you to make a difference in society. Tell them how you are working towards building a better society, different from what you have known.

The contest winners will become lifelong members of the organization, joining a highly engaged national community that promotes peace and friendship across borders. SOAP aims to provide a sense of solidarity and support for those who have been affected by conflict and displacement.

About Spear Of Africa Peace (SOAP)

SOAP is a non-profit organization led by young people focusing on achieving SDG 3 and partly SDG 4. They acknowledge the healing power of art and storytelling as a therapy to assist refugees and young people in coping with their trauma.
