Students today face numerous obstacles on the path to higher education. Financial difficulties, academic competition, and social expectations make being a student challenging.

Concentrating on school is an even greater challenge for those who have experienced mental illness or have been affected by addiction or drug abuse. This scholarship supports students who have battled with mental illness or drug abuse in an effort to honour the memory of Donovan Ghimenti.

This scholarship is open to all California high school, undergraduate, and trade school students who struggle with mental health conditions or drug abuse. Please describe how your mental illness or drug abuse battles have impacted your academics when submitting an application.
