Elton Onwu, a chieftain of the All Progressive Congress has frowned critics hailing the presidential flagbearer of the All Progressive Congress, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, with a statement after the result of the just concluded Osun State governorship election.

The viral post, which was posted years back has been circulating on newspapers and social media platforms in earlier this week, has mentioned the APC flag bearer Bola, Tinubu as saying he won’t dwell on the losses but will develop a new strategy ahead of the 2023 presidential elections.

The post read thus, “I Bola Ahmed Tinubu will not dwell on my losses. I review my mistakes, I will learn from losses and develop a new strategy.”
The APC chieftain who reacted to the viral post was a member of the 2019 All Progressive Congress Presidential Campaign Council, disclosed that he was the author of the quote.

According to Elton, the post was copied from his page by some undisclosed, who shared it on various social media platforms and frequently posted it on online magazines.
Elton Onwu tackled social media users including some members of the All Progressive Congress who took the report credited to Bola Ahmed Tinubu hook, line and sinker when it was made known that the political party has yet to take a position on the outcome of the just concluded election in Osun State.

Elton Onwu said and explained that, “I shared it as a party man to disclose my opinion and to admonish all teeming supporters who were not pleased with the result of the Osun election, some of whom had believed that the result was a sign of what will happen to the party in next year’s presidential elections.

He also stated that, “I pray that the political party, All Progressive Congress roll up their sleeves ahead of the forthcoming presidential election in 2023”.
