As the Christmas celebration is quietly becoming the order of the day, the masses who travel from their states to other states in the federation are preparing for their homecoming. But the rise in the transport fares in Nigeria has become a major hindrance to them achieving that purpose.

But the federal government has made it easier with the approval of a 50% slash in transport fares. President Bola Ahmed Tinubu approved this 50% cut in transport fares for Nigerians travelling between Dec 21, 2023 and January 4, 2024.

The price cut is aimed at assisting those who wish to travel to their various destinations to unite with their loved ones and for the Yuletide celebration. And they can only enjoy this goodwill coming from the Federal government if they travel using the transport companies mentioned below.
