Alex Otti Foundation (AOF) Scholarship Scheme for 200 Level Nigeria Students: What Are The Criteria for Eligibility?

The Alex Otti Foundation (AOF) Scholarship has opened an application portal for interested and eligible Nigerian Undergraduates to apply for its Ongoing 2023/2024 Scholarship scheme, which was established to help less privileged students have financial support, thereby encouraging their educational pursuit.

The scholarship, sponsored by the Alex Otti Foundation, will be awarded to all interested and eligible 200-level Nigerian Students attending a government-owned tertiary institution in Nigeria.

This scholarship will be awarded based on a strong personal academic background, leadership potential, and a demonstrated desire to use acquired knowledge to contribute to societal development.

Criteria for Eligibility For The Alex Otti Foundation (AOF) Scholarship Scheme For Nigeria Students

Below are the Criteria for Eligibility:

  • All applicants must be 200-level students at a government-owned tertiary institution in Nigeria at the time of application and must be admitted in the 2021/2022 academic session, except for universities that do not have or have lost one year of the academic session.
  • The student must have a CGPA of not less than 3.5 (in Universities) or equivalent for other tertiary institutions in their first academic session (first year).
  • Candidates who secured Direct entry admission into the 2nd year and will remain in the 2nd year at the end of March 2024 can also apply.
  • All applicants must submit a statement of result for their first academic session (First year), which must be signed by the Department/Faculty admin officer. Also, Direct entry candidates must submit qualifying results that earned them the Direct Entry.
  • Candidates must present their letter of identification from their community or religious leader and their electricity bill for the last three months preceding the registration month to confirm that they are Abia state residents.
  • You must also provide a valid means of identification.
  • All applicants must submit a 1200-word essay that is divided into three sections, viz:
  1. Section I: State what they are grateful for and why
  2. Section II: State their greatest regrets or worst decisions and what they would do differently if they faced a similar situation.
  3. Section III: The most important decision they have ever made and its justification.

All eligible candidates who wish to apply for this scholarship should submit their application online at portal.alexottifoundation.org.

Note: The application deadline is March 24, 2024, and any application not completed on or before that date is void and will not be processed.
