Tonye Cole, a Rivers All Progressives Congress( APC) guardianship seeker and his company Sahara Energy were named by the Governor as those to be fulfilled.
Nyesom stated that the people of Rivers and the rest of the world demanded to know what happed to the$ 50 million that mysteriously dissolved from the state’s account with no evidence of business where it was spent.
Attorney General, you’re at a critical juncture where people want to know what the State will do with the Judiciary Panel of Inquiry after the Supreme Court’s decision on it, ” Wike said.
“ You arrived just as we were about to file felonious charges against the former governor( Amaechi), Sahara Energy, Tonye Cole, and the rest of them. ”
“ So you’ve arrived at the right time to take over the case and see to it that it’s duly fulfilled. ” I ’m not interested in hearing defenses. Allow the public to see what happens to our finances.
Following the importunity of Rivers Peoples Democratic Party( PDP) guardianship seeker Siminalaye Fubara, Wike directed Adangor to write a kick letter to the Economic and Financial Crime Commission( EFCC).
He hovered that if the EFCC didn’t retrace its way, the State Government would charge it with disdain.
Wike explained that the Rivers State government had preliminarily attained an instruction from the EFCC proscribing the commission from probing the state’s finances or officers.
He added that the PDP guardianship seeker had preliminarily issued a judgement against the EFCC regarding the enforcement of his abecedarian rights.
“ The Rivers State government has had a judgement against the EFCC since 2007, ” he said.
The court ruled that you( EFCC) have no place in the( Rivers) State’s fiscal deals. Until now, the EFCC has been unfit to capsize that decision. They haven’t indeed filed an appeal.
