Job Description

We are hiring a skilled Professional Chef with prior experience in preparing both Continental and national cuisine in offshore environments.

Responsibilities

• Skillfully preparing, cooking, and presenting exceptional dishes within the designated speciality section.
• Collaborating with the Head Chef to conceptualize menu items, craft recipes, and innovate new culinary creations.
• Supervising and training fellow Chefs to maintain a high standard of culinary expertise.
• Keeping a vigilant eye on portion control and minimizing food waste.
• Assisting in managing health and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
• Contributing to implementing proper food hygiene practices to maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards.
• Overseeing the upkeep of the kitchen area and ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Possession of an SSCE or B.Sc degree in any field.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience working as an offshore continental cook.
• Demonstrated work experience as a chef or cook.
• A culinary certification is mandatory.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Leadership skills.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English is essential.
• Good communication skills.
• Excellent time management abilities.
• Advanced knowledge of culinary, baking, and pastry techniques.
• Up-to-date understanding of cooking methods and recipes.
• Hands-on experience with various kitchen equipment.
