Global Warming – Meaning, Effects On Human Beings,  And 6 Ways To Control Greenhouse Gases.

Global warming is the constant heating of the earth’s surface through human activities such as burning fossil fuels, cutting down forest trees and livestock farming.

In the first billion years of the earth, it was way warmer than now because the sun was cooler and the atmosphere contained greenhouse gases like carbon dioxide, methane and a little oxygen- making the earth a really cosy place to live!

Today, due to the earth’s rapid development, global warming is depleted, and the earth has gone from warm to hot.

Some activities that humans ignorantly carry out contribute to this. For instance, who would think rearing livestock impacts climate? It’ll amaze a lot that manure fermentation produces methane gases that affect the atmosphere 28% times higher than carbon dioxide.

In urban areas, the pollution level skyrockets each day in the course of the revolution. This isn’t to be blamed on the governments or individuals because the world needs to advance.

However, climate depletion will take a toll on anything that breathes, and humans are on the verge of this issue. The effects of greenhouse gases cannot be underemphasized; they include cardiovascular diseases and other respiratory diseases, cancer, infection, food/water pollution and most likely death.

How To Control Greenhouse Gases Effects

Controlling greenhouse effects is definitely within our power and deeds, meaning that most of the day-to-day activities we’ve ignorantly adapted to can be curbed, thereby reducing these effects.

  1. Proper Disposal Of Waste:

This is where so many get it wrong; these people burn waste in the open air releasing carbon dioxide, a greenhouse gas, into the atmosphere. Greenhouse gases trap heat in our atmosphere causing global warming.

Rather than burning waste, you should dispose of them properly or recycle them.

  1. Installation Of Solar Lights:

Solar means relating to the sun. Sunlight is converted into electricity without the need for a water supply; solar does not pollute our waterways like fossil fuels do. With solar energy, you can strongly reduce greenhouse gas emissions caused by your home.

  1. Use Renewable Energy:

Energy sources like solar, geothermal, wind turbines, biomass, and hydropower are renewable because they don’t burn fossil fuels or release greenhouse gases into the atmosphere as they generate electricity.

  1. Plant A Garden:

Plants consume carbon dioxide, a greenhouse gas, in the process of photosynthesis. This action provides a cooling effect because plants also release water when they get hot, a process similar to sweating.

  1. Eat More Vegetables:

Eating vegetables reduces your carbon footprint and produces plant-based food, resulting in fewer greenhouse gas emissions requiring less energy. Some of the vegetables are fruits, whole grains, nuts, and seeds.

  1. Consider Your Travel:

Several means of transportation affect global warming in one way or another. Aeroplanes burn larger amounts of fossil fuels than any vehicle, producing a substantial amount of greenhouse gas emissions. Taking fewer flights is one way to mitigate the impact of most greenhouse gases on the environment.

Also, walking or riding a bike can reduce the emission of greenhouse gases. Recently roadways have been clustered with vehicles burning diesel and gasoline, and most air pollution reports come from these traffic jams.

Conclusion:

Our health and lives are valuable and should be given extreme care. It is rather better to carry out social and domestic activities right other than cut ways. We can treat the earth carefully to uphold a perfect atmosphere.

We all have the ability to make a contribution towards combatting global warming by taking climate-friendly measures in our daily activities, and our carbon footprints should always be in check at every time.
