POPULAR NOLLYWOOD ACTOR, ARRESTED FOR VIOLATING A MINOR
Moses Armstrong a popular Nigerian actor, has been arrested by the Akwa Ibom State Police for allegedly raping a 16-year-old girl.
The First Lady of Akwa Ibom state, Martha Udom Emmanuel, is actively involved in the case through her NGO, Family Empowerment and Youth Re-Orientation Path Initiative, to ensure justice prevails.
The President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, Emeka Rollas, described the matter as “a very serious case”, saying such acts are not tolerated among members of the association.
He further stated, “To get involved with a child as young as 16 years is not something I and the association would stand for.” Mr. Rollas added that even as sad as the news is, he would not comment further on the issue.
Moses Armstrong is a father of two, who lost his wife in 2018 in a ghastly accident. He is a movie producer, and politician, and even worked as a Special Assistant to Akwa Ibom State Governor before his arrest.
