Mr. Seye Oladejo, the publicity secretary for the all-progressive party, has stressed that the binding influence and victory of the people’s democratic party on Osun state was only temporal and their spree would only fall at the threshold of Lagos and not a step beyond.
This is coming after the governorship election that was staged on Saturday in Osun state. The people’s Democratic Party claimed victory as their candidate Ademola Nurudeen Adeleke, bested his fellow contestant and their respective party with a stunning marginal victory.
In response to such, Mr. Seye Oladejo pointed out that the arranged 2023 governorship election designated to happen in Lagos would not be handled in sameness to the outplay of the PDP primaries.
In his words, the relevance of Dr. Olajide Adediran alias “Jandor” and the Nollywood trailblazer Funke Akindele who both graciously received the PDP’s party tickets are grossly redundant.
Your hope to win the election can only be a mirage
He said;
“The governance of a model state like Lagos is too important to be entrusted to some day-dreamers, who have absolutely nothing to offer”
He further pointed out that the long stride leading into the eventual actualization of the Lagos governance being an intellectual property of the people’s democratic party can only be a dream; a mirage
He said;
“While we acknowledge the right to celebrate an unexpected, opportunistic, and unaccustomed euphoria, as a result of the election, the excitement was taken to a ridiculous level by day-dreaming of winning the governorship election in Lagos State.
While Lagos residents celebrate the landmark and award-winning achievements of Gov. Babajide Sanwo-Olu across various sectors with focus on the THEMES mantra, your hope to win the election can only be a mirage.
“It is certainly unnatural for the civilised and cosmopolitan citizens of Lagos to be tired of the various developmental strides, and the prospects of doing more in the years ahead.
“As we count down to the elections, the governorship/ deputy governorship debates will be an interesting spectacle…”
“…We urge Mr. Governor to remain undaunted as he strives to finish strong in the first term of his tenure of office,”
