Job Description
- As per general instructions, oversees a team of procurement experts and organizes procurement activities to facilitate the implementation of strategic plans for manufacturing, field operations, or project management.
- In charge of authorizing the choice and certification of vendors, bargaining with them, and executing contracts for procuring goods and services locally that are not included in Category Management.
- Ensures adherence and implementation of the Category Management plan, following established policies and procedures.
- Oversees the development of RFQs and competitive bids from multiple suppliers to secure the most favourable combination of quality, delivery, and pricing for goods and services.
- Creates plans to enhance suppliers’ performance for expenses not managed by regional or global Category Management.
- This job position involves responsibilities related to budget management and directly impacts a revenue centre’s profitability and quality of service through individual efforts.
Requirements
- To be qualified for this position, one must have a related undergraduate degree and at least 8 years of experience in the industry or equivalent experience if education is not met. These skills are necessary for the job requirements.
- Having an advanced certification in procurement is desirable.

Responsibilities
- The task of getting ready and examining the withholding tax (WHT), value-added tax (VAT), NCD, and other mandatory deductions submitted to the tax office.
- Help and assist the team in the event of periodic tax audits, reviews, and other similar exercises conducted by the tax authorities.
- Assist the team with tax accounting and reporting tasks that are internal to the company.
- Provide assistance and support to the team during the annual reviews and filings related to income tax and transfer pricing.
- Assist the team in tax-related projects and any other regulatory issues that may arise.
Academic Qualifications And Experience
- The applicant should have completed tertiary education and obtained a degree in a field related to Accounting, Finance or Social Sciences.
- The ideal applicant should possess a professional background of 3 to 5 years working in the tax division of a multinational organization dealing with Oil and Gas services.
- The applicant should have knowledge and experience in operating and utilizing the FIRS TaxProMax portal.
- Having a professional accounting qualification such as ICAN, ACA, ACCA or any equivalent certification would be a plus.
