The popular lover’s day which sits on February 14th is fast approaching, and no doubt many are doing everything they can to secure a date on that day while some are becoming frustrated and depressed with the belief that they might end up not going out on a date, on that special and eventful day.

But should you become depressed because you don’t have a date on that day?. As depressing as that may want to be, you can still enjoy Valentine’s day without a date.

Instead of feeling bad about not having a date on Valentine’s day, why not use this day to learn new recipes for food or snacks you enjoy eating? You could even learn to bake a cake or make a meat pie.

Trust me, you will find it exciting and fun, and before you know it, the feeling of depression of not having a date will be gone. You could call a close friend who is single to join you in baking to make it more exciting.

Spend time with those you love.

Rather than envy those who are hanging out with their dates and feel depressed because you don’t have yours, why not hang out with your family or friends who are single?

Reach out to Someone

Use this special day to reach out to a friend or family member you haven’t heard from in a long while.

You could buy some goodies, flowers, and even hang out with the person; you will never know who might be feeling lonely too; as such displaying such gestures would no doubt make such a person happy and, in turn, make you happy and you won’t have to feel lonely anymore.

You can arrange with such a friend or neighbour a day before Valentine’s day to arrange for a sit out, night out or a meal together.
