NWAG Scholarship Award for Nigerian Students 2024: See Criteria and Link to Apply

The Nigerian Women Association of Gorgia Inc, USA, has announced a scholarship award to 111 female undergraduate Nigerian Students. Three students will receive the prize for each State, including three for the Federal Capital Territory.
Each undergraduate female student who won the NWAG Scholarship award for Nigerian Student 2024 will receive Three hundred U.S. Dollars ($300). The First runner-up will receive a prize of One hundred and Fifty U.S. Dollars, while the second will receive One hundred U.S. Dollars ($100).

The Award will be given in Naira equivalent and is only meant for Nigerian Female undergraduates. Those in their final year of studies are not eligible for the scholarship. Below are the other eligibility criteria and the application procedures, including the needed documents, which will be submitted alongside the application form.
Criteria for Eligibility
To be eligible for the NWAG scholarship award for Nigerian Students 2024, here are the criteria you must meet:
- All applicants must be Nigerian students
- Applicants must be an Undergraduate not in the final year
- Applicants must be full-time enrolled
- Applicants must submit no less than a one-half typoed page explaining why they need or should receive the scholarship.
- A typed-written, double-spaced, two-page essay on;
“The Alarming Exodus of professionals leaving Nigeria for Greener Pasture: What is the cause? What can be done to improve or reduce the mass Exit? How does this ‘Japa Syndrome’ affect education in Nigeria?”.
Required Documents to be Submitted with the Form
There are various things which you are expected to submit alongside the form, and they include;
- Proof of State of Origin, either from your University or your LOcal Governments Area
Two Letters of recommendation from any two of the following:
- Pastor or Imam
- Village Head
- Local Government Chairperson
- University lecturer or Head of Department
- One letter of recommendation from either the Dean of your faculty or the Head of your department
- Photocopy of your current University student identification
- A current photograph of yourself
