You can transfer airtime, credits and data from your MTN account to another MTN user’s account without any physical voucher or bank card. MTN share can only be possible after you have changed the MTN default pin and activated yours.

How to Activate the MTN Share PIN

To activate your MTN Share PIN, you have to change the MTN default PIN and replace it with the new one, which is your MTN Share PIN or transfer PIN. You can change the MTN share PIN in two ways: SMS or dialling the USSD code to change the transfer PIN.

Through SMS

Simply send an SMS with your Default PIN New PIN New PIN to 321. For Example, if the new MTN share PIN you wish to use is 1405 and since the MTN default PIN is 0000, send “0000 1405 1405” to 321.

Via USSD Code

You can also change it by dialling the USSD code to change the share PIN, and below is the code you should dial:

Dial 321default PINNew PINNew PIN# and click the SEND/OK button to send it and change the default PIN. For Example, if your new PIN is 1405, and since the MTN Default PIN is 0000, you want to change it to your PIN, which is 1405, dial 321000014051405# and then tap on the Send/OK button.

How to Share Airtime On MTN

You can transfer or share your airtime with other users on MTN by sending an SMS to 321 or dialling a USSD code. Below are the steps for the two methods of transferring airtime.

Through SMS

To transfer airtime on MTN share through SMS, you must draft an SMS using the following guidelines: “Transfer Recipient’s number amount PIN” and send it to 321. For Example, if the recipient’s number is 09135730949, your PIN is 1405, and the amount you wish to share is #2000, then type Transfer 09135730949 2000 1405 and send it to 321.

Then, you will receive an SMS to confirm that you want to share, after which you will be notified that it was successful.

Through USSD code

Dial the USSD Code for airtime share to enjoy the MTN share service. Below are the steps to take:

Dial *321# and send
Choose option 1, which is Airtime Share or the next option if it is for data share.
Also, Choose Option 1 from the Pop-up menu
Enter the recipient’s number and also click on the Send button
putin the amount you want to share and also tap on the sense button
Enter your MTN share PIN and send
Confirm that you want to share and send the amount you have put into the recipient’s account.

You will receive a notification indicating that it was successful. You can dial this code once and send it. Just dial 321Recipient’s NumberAmountPIN# and Tap the Send or OK button to send it.

For Example, if the recipient’s number is 09135730949, 2000 is the amount you want to share, and 1405 is your PIN, simply dial 3210913573094920001405# on your phone and send. You will receive a notification to confirm that you want to share, and after you have confirmed, you will be notified that it was successful.
