You can activate the MTN Keep My Number Service through the USSD code or via SMS, but either way, you must have sufficient airtime for the service charge. Below are the procedures to activate the Keep My Number service on MTN.

Via USSD code

Dial *365#, then choose the subscription plan, either one year, 2 or 3 years, by selecting the listed keywords -> KMN1, KMN2, and KMN3 for years 1, 2, and 3, respectively.

You can dial 3651# for a one-year subscription, 3652# for a two-year subscription, and 3653# for a three-year subscription plan.

Via SMS

Alternatively, you can subscribe to this service through the SMS method by sending one of the keywords via SMS to 36500, depending on the subscription plan you wish to make.

If you want a one year plan, you send KMN1 to 36500, for two years plan, send KMN2 to 36500n and also send KMN3 for three years subscription.
