As the group admin, if you want to exit the group and also delete it, you must first remove all other group members from that group before you exit it, and this action can never be reversed.

Open the WhatsApp group chat
tap on the group subject/name
tap on the name of any member in that group
Click on “Remove (member) or Remove from group.”
Tap on the “OK” or Remove Button to delete the members in that group

Note: You can also exit and delete a WhatsApp group without removing other members of that group, and when you do so, another group admin will be chosen randomly. If you want to join the group again and be the group admin, you must request the present group admin to make you one of the admin.

Then click on the group name

Click on the group chats
Tap on the group name
click on the Delete Group button

The group will be deleted immediately after you perform this action.

For iOS users, you can exit and delete a WhatsApp group on your device by following the procedures listed below:

To Exit a WhatsApp Group

After opening WhatsApp on your device, click on the group chat you want to exit and delete to open it.
Click on the Group name or Subject
Tap on Exit Group
Then, finally, click on the Exit Group icon to exit the group

Alternatively, you can swipe the group to the left on the chat tab, then tap on More, after which you can take steps 3 and 4 above to complete the process.

To Delete a WhatsApp Group

After opening WhatsApp on your device, click on the group chat you want to exit and delete to open it.
Click on the Group name or Subject.
Tap on Delete Group, then Delete

Alternatively, you can swipe the group to the left on the chats tab and then click on the More icon, after which you can complete step 3 above.

You must keep in mind that if you immediately delete a group, you can not undo it, and also, if you exit a group where you were the admin, another group admin will be chosen randomly.
